“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” or “love thy neighbor as thyself…”
I am one hundred percent in agreement with both statements, however, I do believe an additional line of thinking should be attached. “Love thyself like we love our kids, community, family, friends, etc…”
My belief is that it is much easier to treat others with affectionate kindness, graceful forgiveness, and have powerful concerns about their well-being and health, than for ourselves. And that shouldn’t be the case.
Many people have a hard time letting their mistakes go, joyfully exercising so that they are healthy, looking out for their functional stability, and making sure that they are mentally, emotionally and spiritually, ok.
Remember – YOU are important to people. Love thyself just as much, if not more, than you love your nearest and dearest.
Stay lifted,
Lucky Lefty
