#92 OLD ADAGES

Other than the obvious – height, weight, responsibilities etc…, not much changes from childhood to being an adult.

Most of the things we are taught in our youthful ages direct us effectively if we choose to listen.

Our parents, educators, grandparents would state…

“Birds of a feather flock together.”  We are who we hang with.

“We are what we eat.”  Physical & mental state is linked to food and drink.

“Don’t count the eggs before they hatch.”  Hope is not guaranteed.

“The early bird gets the worm.”  Arriving early can help success.

And yet we can make life complex when we do not follow the adages.

Whichever path you are on at the moment, mastering the art of the word “NO”, will take you closer to your destiny than attempting to please everyone by saying yes to everything.

Our parents said “no” more than “yes” for a reason, and as we get older, the wiser we realize they are.

Stay lifted,
