#104 FOMO
The impact of accepting the word, ‘No’ – is powerful.
Depending on the scenario, ‘no’ and ‘can’t’ are two mutually exclusive answers.
‘No’ is powerful and eliminates options.
‘Can’t’ limits us from opportunities, both physically and mentally.
As a child, we hear the word ‘no’ as a negative connotation; something that gives us boundaries we want to explore. However, as we get older it becomes a leading indicator that informs others how focused, understanding, self-aware, and competent we truly are.
“No, that investment is not where I want to contribute my money to…” Options.
“I do not have discretionary income, therefore I can’t invest…” Limited.
In an era where FOMO is rapidly growing, ‘no’ helps the process of elimination, leaving us content with ‘missing out.’
